HONG KONG – Besides the famous “rainbow” photo-taking place in Hong Kong’s Choi Hung Estate, a new rainbow hotspot at M+ Museum is all set to capture people’s attention starting Friday.
Presenting nearly 60 artworks by Japanese “rainbow artist” Ay-O, the exhibition Ay-O: Hong Hong Hong is the artist’s first solo exhibition in the city.
Divided into two parts, the event will showcase the artist’s pieces with distinct visual language depicting Japan in the post-war period and his iconic rainbow works, spanning from the 1950s to the 2000s.
China Daily photographer Calvin Ng took the photos during a media preview on Thursday.
