MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will be celebrating his 66th birthday on Wednesday, September 13, and this is his wish: better agriculture in the country.

In an ambush interview in Quezon City on the eve of his natal day, the President was asked about his aspirations.

“Maging maayos na ang agrikultura,” he said. “At malaman na natin kung ano ba talaga ang weather, wet season ba o dry season? Para naman matulungan natin ‘yung mga farmer natin. ‘Yun lamang naman ang aking panalangin pa rin hanggang ngayon.”

(For agriculture to be in order And for us to know what the weather really is, is it a wet season or a dry season? So that we can help our farmers. That’s my only prayer until now.)

Marcos will fly to Singapore on Wednesday as he is scheduled to give a talk at the 10th Asian Conference there.

Marcos is expected to celebrate his birthday in the Lion City and attend the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix 2023.

The 10 Asian Conference is slated in Singapore from September 13-15.
