THIMPHU – Over 5,000 Bhutanese gathered at HBF Stadium in Perth, Australia, for the second Royal audience with His Majesty the King and the Royal Family this afternoon. Many of these attendees had missed the previous day’s event due to their own schedules or the stadium’s capacity limits.

As with the other Royal audience held across Australia, people who had registered through the Bhutan App began lining up early at the venue before the gates opened. His Majesty addressed the crowd from the center of the ground, standing closer to the people.

His Majesty further discussed the Gelephu Mindfulness City, describing it as a vehicle for enabling every Bhutanese to reach their full potential and secure the future of Bhutan. This was followed by a presentation from the Gelephu Mindfulness City team, providing updates and outlining how Bhutanese abroad could contribute to the project.

In addition to the speeches and presentations, the event featured the viewing of sacred relics (Nangten), brought from Bhutan for the Bhutanese in Australia to receive blessings. These relics will also be displayed at Khamsum Zilnon Drukpai Lhakhang.

The program concluded with Their Majesties, accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses, visiting the stands to meet with attendees individually. Community members also presented a specially curated cultural performance to mark the occasion.
