KATHMANDU – Various artists on Sunday showcased their performances at “Voices of Spring. Golden Dreams” celebrations, marking the first official Chinese New Year festivities in Nepal.

Traditional Chinese dances along with powerful acrobatics enthralled audiences at the event attended by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Speaking at the ceremony organised by the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, the prime minister said Nepal and China are close neighbours and reliable friends, adding Nepal is committed not to allow any activities that are inimical to the interest of China.
