Bruneian royalty attends Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az-Zahraa’ Raihaanul Bolkiah binti Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah attended her first ballet examinations alongside 75 fellow students from pre-primary to vocational levels on the three-day event at the main dance studio of Studio Elevé.

The examinations, conducted annually to evaluate the progress of ballet students, welcomed examiner Adeline Leong from the Royal Academy of Dance to Brunei Darussalam.

Ballet examinations serve as a pivotal moment for dancers, offering an opportunity to put their proficiency and dedication to the test before progressing to the next level in their ballet journey.

Following the Royal Academy of Dance United Kingdom (RAD) syllabus, and under the guidance of RAD-registered teacher and Studio Elevé’s managing director Samuel Milan, ballet students undergo a rigorous yet nurturing training process, ensuring that each dancer develops at their own pace while upholding the highest standards of technique and artistry. The training process, with consistency and dedication, prepares each student for their examinations each year.

Following the successful conclusion of the ballet examinations, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az-Zahraa’ Raihaanul Bolkiah will join the rest of the examinees in moving to the next level of their ballet education at the opening of the new term.
